Bearing CY, Michail Vrachmi, Xylofagou 7520, Cyprus. Phone: 24 725684. You can also reach us using our contact form or by email at info@bearingcy.com.
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your email address, subject line, and message content.
If you consent to analytics tracking, we also collect: menu clicks, section popularity (how long you view each section), session duration, bounce/retention status, traffic source (referrer), and your approximate country from browser language settings.
When analytics consent is granted, we track the following to improve our website:
Menu clicks — which navigation items you interact with.
Section popularity — how long each section of a page is visible in your viewport.
Session duration — how long you spend on the site per visit.
Bounce/retention — whether you engage with the page or leave quickly.
Traffic source — the referring website that led you here.
When analytics consent is granted, we infer your approximate country from your browser's Accept-Language header. No IP-based geolocation service is used. Your IP address is stored for security, rate-limiting, and analytics purposes. The inferred country name is used in analytics reports.
Necessary cookies (always active):
bcy_consent — stores your cookie preference choices. Expires after 1 year.
bcy_csrf — protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery. Session-based.
Third-party content (requires your consent):
No cookies are set by us for this category. However, when enabled, embedded services (e.g. Google Maps) may set their own cookies. See the provider’s privacy policy for details.
Analytics cookies (requires your consent):
bcy_v — a unique visitor identifier used to recognise returning visitors. Expires after 1 year. Only set if you consent to analytics.
When you make a cookie preference choice, we log the decision server-side (visitor ID, choices made, IP address, timestamp). Consent records are automatically deleted after 4 months.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Privacy Settings" in the footer of any page. This reopens the consent modal where you can update your choices.
Our contact page can display an embedded Google Maps widget to show our location. This embed is only loaded if you enable “Third-Party Content” in your cookie preferences, or click the “Load Map (One-Time)” button on the placeholder.
When the map loads, your browser connects directly to Google’s servers. Google may collect your IP address, browser metadata, and cookies. This data may be transferred to servers in the United States. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
If you do not enable third-party content, no data is sent to Google and a static placeholder is displayed instead.
Contact form submissions are used exclusively to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is used to understand visitor behaviour and improve our website. We do not sell or distribute your personal data. The only third-party service that may receive data is Google Maps, and only when you explicitly consent to loading it (see above).
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6:
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — Analytics tracking, third-party content (Google Maps), and contact form submissions are only processed when you give explicit consent via our cookie modal or the contact form consent checkbox.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — We process IP addresses and request metadata for security purposes, including CSRF protection, rate limiting, and abuse prevention. These measures are necessary to protect our website and users.
We retain personal data for the following periods:
Contact form submissions — retained for up to 12 months, then deleted. The site administrator may delete them sooner.
Analytics data — automatically deleted after 4 months.
Consent records — automatically purged after 4 months.
Rate-limiting data — temporary, automatically expires after 1 hour.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us via phone, email, or our contact form.
As a data subject, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
Right of access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Right to erasure — You can ask us to delete your personal data.
Right to restrict processing — You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
Right to data portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object — You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Right to withdraw consent — You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the footer of any page. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us by phone at 24 725684, by email at info@bearingcy.com, or through our contact form.
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Cyprus:
Commissioner for Personal Data Protection
Website: www.dataprotection.gov.cy
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, CSRF token protection for form submissions, rate limiting to prevent abuse, and restricted access to stored data.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling as defined under GDPR Article 22.
